The mission of HITEC is to enable business and professional growth for their members and fill the executive pipeline with the next generation of Hispanic IT leaders. HITEC, through its leaders of Hispanic Information Technology professionals offers a unique network for educating, mentoring, promoting, connecting and inspiring the next generation of IT Professionals of Hispanic origin to become the next leaders in Information and Telecommunications Technology.
Marilyn Ehrhardt, a woman whose career in Information and Telecommunication Technology spans over thirty years, is pleased to provide her experience, knowledge and insight in advancing the mission of HITEC. Through her experience in climbing the corporate ladder in the United States, Europe and Latin America, she has and will continue to mentor and inspire those interested in becoming leaders in their field. Mrs. Ehrhardt brings the unique experience of both the corporate world of Information Technology and the Entrepreneur's world; she has provided leadership at Digital Equipment Corporation, Oracle Corporation and NASA and she has also started her own consulting and engineering firm, Sabianet Inc, as well as successfully launching a start-up company in the Healthcare Industry (Electronic Health Record Software). "There are many leaders and some want to develop their ideas by orchestrating the resources of large corporations and others want to take their skills in Information Technology and make their ideas come to life from ground zero. I've had experience in both of those worlds and would like to mentor and assist other Hispanic professionals via HITEC in whichever path they are on." said Marilyn Ehrhardt, as she agreed to join HITEC's Advisory Board. "I hope to add the excitement of Entrepreneurship to HITEC and help the corporate world understand the unique value that Hispanic Entrepreneurs bring to the market." she added.
